Ruth Soto Marín

 

 

Doctora en Ciencias Geológicas (Doctorado Europeo Cotutelado Universidad de Zaragoza y Univ. Roma Tre, 2003). Incorporada al IGME como Investigadora Titular en 2009.

Su actividad investigadora está centrada en Tectónica y Geología Estructural utilizando diferentes técnicas: Modelización Analógica, Paleomagnetismo, Análisis de la Susceptibilidad Magnética (ASM) y Neotectónica. Ha realizado trabajo de campo en el Pirineo, cuenca Vasco-Cantábrica, cuenca del Ebro, Cordillera Ibérica, cuenca Lusitánica (Portugal), Faja Volcánica Mexicana y antearco Andes del Norte de Chile, entre otros.

Becaria post-doctoral en el LMTG (Lab. Mécanismes et Transferts en Géologie) de Toulouse (Francia), contratada post-doctoral en el Lab. de Paleomagnetismo de la Universidad de Burgos, en el Instituto Ciencias de la Tierra “Jaume Almera” (CSIC) de Barcelona y contratada “Ramón y Cajal” en el Dpto. Geodinàmica i Geofísica de la Universitat de Barcelona.

Ha realizado estancias de investigación en varios centros de reconocido prestigio internacional: Università Roma Tre, LMTG-Univ. Paul Sabatier (Toulouse, Francia), LANL (New Mexico, EEUU), Paleomagnetism and Geochronology Laboratory (Beijing, China) y UNAM (Morelia, México).
